For our final presentation we will come up with something that will dazzle our client. One part will be within the presentation. We will include videos that will explain some of the things we have chosen to make the design complete. This will help the client get a visual of what it is he is paying for and also explain the costs of some of these items and why is it worth that amount.
We will also present a gift to the client. This will fit his taste and lifestyle. It will be a great welcome home gift that he will more than likely use right away.

EOC Week 9: Challenges of Classroom vs Real World
The biggest challenges of budgeting this classroom project is possibly missing some parts that go into one specific project. For example, flooring has multiple steps that need to be included and those prices need to be thought about when budgeting for a project. Such as the cost for floor prep (leveling and cleaning), the type of material that is used (drayage), installation (labor and clean up), and protection for the flooring, these are all things that need to thought of when budgeting for the flooring alone.
If our Total Budget Cost (TBC) was really off this would cause a huge issue with not only the design project, but also the client. The TBC is what is supposed to be done and what it is supposed to cost. With the TBC being off we would have to eat the cost of what was not specified within the budget since a cost that was not expected has come up. When something like this happens, normally there would be an amount put aside for problems such as these.

Week 7 EOC: Scheduling Issues
Imagine yourself in a brand new condo in the heart of Las Vegas, the bachelor pad that will top all bachelor pads like it. After all, you will be in the center of one of the most exciting cities in the world. This luxury pad will enclose materials and finishes that are custom to the different bachelor needs and wants. Each will be unique to fit today’s modern bachelor, yet so unique to meet each individuals style. To keep a sleek and inviting feel to the condo, stone flooring will be used. The most up to date appliances will be used throughout, as well as the most up to date technology. Your space will be able to transform depending on what the space will be used for. This modern bachelor pad can be completed within three months. Once this is done, a walk through can be done to make sure we have met your standards and move in can be done as soon as possible.

Week 6 EOC: Professional Sales Presentation
For our professional sales presentation we could get our materials and products that will go into the new design. Make a 3D model of this for the client to get a better perspective of what with be included in the new and improved condo. We will also go to the actual model and video tape a walk through. In this walk through we will point out the changes being made to improve the space. When putting the video together and the incorporating the 3D model, we can put shots from the model showing the finished product. This way while we are doing the walk through, the viewers will have an understanding of our vision for this project.
Another idea would be to have a video made of the 3D model (finished product) in Maya. Create a whole presentation to “Wow” the viewers. The main focus would be the refinished condo, but to add some drama and a sense of what it would be like to actually live in that condo, do a walk through from the outside to the inside. This way the viewer can get an actual idea as to why they should buy this condo and what makes it so special.

Week 5 EOC: Midterm
As far as how I feel we did on our presentation, I think we could have done better. One way this could have been accomplished is by rethinking our approach in how to present what we have done so far. After speaking with Frank, I have realized what we need to work on to make a stronger presentation, and to get our design across in a more affective way. I feel that by rethinking how we organize the project would definitely help in creating a better design and presenting that design. As stated in our book Successful Project Management by Gido and Clements, “Organizing involves securing the appropriate resources to perform the work.” With this being said, by utilizing what we have organized in a better way, I think we can come up with a better presentation to get our project across to our viewers. Things I feel we have done well with our project would include defining the project objective. This is a part of detailed planning according to Gido and Clements steps listed, “1. Clearly define the project objective.” We have done this already, but I feel it was lacking what we had talked about over the time we have spent on the project as a group. This area could possibly be stronger as well. One way to do this would be to “Define the specific activities that need to be performed for each work package in order to accomplish the project objective” (Gido and Clements). Although it is our job as a group to come up with the project, I feel we are not able to get to that potential because we are unaware of what these activities are suppose to be.
As far as comparison of the two presentations, I feel that our group had come in second place and 4 Interior Design had come in first place. I think that 4 Interior Design has come up with a great presentation to get their design across as well as make its viewers more aware of their company. They clearly stated their client, color palette, materials, and more. The only thing I feel that went wrong with the presentation was it running on its own and jumping into music. The music was nice, but when speaking is going on, it is difficult to understand what is being said. Maybe by just having the instrumentals of the song and at a softer tone would be a better route. This way if something goes wrong, no one will notice. As for our group, I think we just need to work on creating a better presentation. We had the materials to go within it, but we just failed to utilize it all.

Week 4 EOC: Wow!
1. Create a link in Google so our website pops up. For presentation go directly to Google and Google KASE Interiors, this will take you directly to our site. This is also where our PowerPoint can be located. Possibly go directly into presentation from our website.
2. Show ideation, floor plan, and elevations in PowerPoint. Explain products that will be used within the space. Add videos to further explain the client, materials and finishes being used within the project.
3. Create a booklet to hand out to our guest for the PowerPoint presentation. This way our project can go along with them outside the presentation, creating a lasting memory of what our object is for the project and the potential.

WK3 EOC: Brilliant Ideas
1. Brochures: Create a brochure to promote our ideas for Veer towers to create awareness of what we can do as a group. Also, to show there is a better way to get your target client in the door to close that deal.
2. Word of Mouth: Spread the word to people around the school as well as other places to show what we can do.
3. Invite to Final Presentation: With permission, start an invite to people who would be directly affected by the marketing to get the condos sold (someone important from Veer Towers) as well as instructors or anyone who would be support to the project. Or who may even be interested in the project.
4. Get Involved: Get people involved in the project. Not necessarily directly, but start sitting down with instructors or others to get feedback. Keep other updated and educated. Start a website with our information and what we can do. Make things hands on for people to want to get involved and want to know more about us and what we can do.
5. Meet and Greet: Have a gathering for people to get to know us and what it is we do. This way we can educate our client. This would also be a great opportunity to get to know our target customer.

Week 1 EOC: MY VOICE
Interior Design has always been a passion of mine. As an Interior Designer, I love the concept of helping others create a space that is not only appealing, but functional. This is one of my favorite parts of design, making a space functional. I feel that when a space is functional, it makes it a better space to work/live in.
When designing, I get inspired by designs I have experienced or researched online. I love finding new trends and ways for designs to work and look fabulous. Modern design and contemporary design are a few of my favorite styles. The clean lines make a chic and sophisticated end product. To me, these styles can look very organized, which is one of the most important things to me when designing. Organization in a design is one of the key parts to making a design functional. This style may not be appealing to everyone, but it is definitely one of my favorites. There are many other design styles I love, but modern and contemporary are at the top of my list.
